Thank you for the suggestion, however, that did not work. The first six cells were still removed from the start.

Re: Beginning of Avatar Way of Water chopped off
Debug didn't provide any additional information.
Anyone know why MakeMKV would remove the first six cells?
Thanks

Beginning of Avatar Way of Water chopped off
I'm trying to rip "Avatar: The Way of Water". However, the first several minutes get chopped off. Any thoughts why?

Re: Splitting apart episodes
I tried MKVToolNix, but it seems even more completed.
Thanks for the input.

Splitting apart episodes
I really hate ripping TV show's, because sometimes the episodes are one big file and not split on the disk. MakeMKV just rips what it finds. If all of the episodes are in one big file, then MakeMKV rips one big file and I have to use something else to split up the episodes. I've been using Handbrake...

Re: DVD's with multiple main movie titles
What are the run times? When you play the disc, what options does the native menu offer? Could be: Runtime 2 hr 10 min (130 min) 2 hr 12 min (132 min) (Extended Edition) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1596343/technical?ref_=tt_spec_sm I didn't even try playing the movie to find out if there was any d...

DVD's with multiple main movie titles
Every so often I come across a DVD that has more than one primary main movie title. Sometimes it might say "Angle 1", "Angle 2", or something similar. Once I was looking at the remarks said something like "Queues for visually impaired". But I have a DVD that I just load...

Expand All option
I have a Wish List type item, I'd like to see "Expand all" and "Collapse All" in the right click menu, especially when it comes to ripping TV shows and I need to expand all of the episodes so I can unselect items that I don't want included in the rip. It would just make life a li...

Thank you. I'll look into this.dcoke22 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 13, 2023 4:57 pmThe MKVToolNix tools can append one .mkv file to another.
Probably ffmpeg could do it as well.

Merge MKV files?
Is there a way to merge mkv files? I have a couple of movies that are 2 disk sets, I'd like to merge them into a single mkv. Is that possible? If so, how?
Thanks
Daryl

Do I need both 5.1 Surround and Stereo?
Now that I got my 5.1 surround working, I am wondering if I need to capture both 5.1 surround as well as stereo? The majority of my movies will be watched on my large screen with the surround, but every so often, I will start a movie and the move to another room that doesn't have surround and resume...

Re: Not getting Surround Sound
dcoke22 I got this figured out. It's not MakeMKV, it was my system that was the issue. I replayed one of my John Wick movies, and realized that I suddenly was not getting 5.1 surround sound, which before I was. My rear speakers are wireless and appeared to be connected, that was why I was confused. ...

Re: Not getting Surround Sound
MediaInfo is a handy utility for showing lots of details about .mkv files. With that you could verify that .mkv file has the audio track in it that you expect. If you use VLC or MPV or some other player on your computer, is there audio? Yes, I expand out all of the options and I select only DD 5.1 ...
