Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
Hey rkjnsn, I believe MrPenguin and a few other Linux users have had success with FindVUK via Wine. I don't have any saved links or notes but you might be able to find some instructions on this forum or possibly Doom9.
I haven't actually tried it with wine yet, but given that my setup is linux ...

Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
I suspect the lowercase one contains BDMV/META/DL/bdmt_*.xml files, whereas the other one does not. I don't know why MakeMKV sometimes excludes the bdmt_*.xml files from the dump, but it's a minor point in the bigger picture ;). The more cosmetic details can be added to the KEYDB.cfg entry by ...

Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
Saw this was submitted already, but I wasn't sure if multiple dumps from different drives were helpful, so I thought I'd do it anyway.
The trick is to have "one good dump" for each disk variant, e.g. 8040 in the case of this disk.
Well, it's interesting, I actually have two dumps. The first ...

Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
It would be great to have an equivalent thread within the BD section for AACS 1.0 disc dump files. But I feel like the relatively low number of AACS 1.0 disc dump submissions would limit the adoption/usage of a specialised thread.
I'd be happy to submit to a different thread, so for my part, it ...

Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
OK, cool, good to know! I have a procedural question then. This is the submission channel for dumps, but it's specifically in the UHD discs section. Do we want to submit dumps for standard blurays here, or should there be a separate thread for standard non-uhd discs?

Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
This is interesting, getting an error "This disc uses newer version of AACS protection. Please let us know about it by visiting http://www.makemkv.com...", which I've never seen before. I thought standard bluray had been well and truly cracked, but I guess they still have some obnoxious tricks up ...

Re: AACS dump file Ninth Gate
Just hopped on here to see if I was alone on this, got a bad copy, glad/sad to find out that's not the case! I got stuck at the 536MB same as everyone, so I switched to some other discs, and popped this one in before I went to bed. Currently at about 95% on my pioneer 6 and a half hours later. Keeps ...

Re: Jeeves and Wooster, the discs of doom
Hah, that is funny! I also did A Bit of Fry and Laurie just now.
Mine are region 1, guess region 2 was slightly better! Still a pain though. Never had occasion to use ddrescue before, curious to see if it works for my discs, too. And curious if my method would work with your discs. What size were ...

Jeeves and Wooster, the discs of doom
I was going to post here asking for help, but I figured out a solution, so I thought I'd share it in case anyone else has a similar issue on this or another DVD.
Got the Jeeves and Wooster box set. Popped it into my Pioneer BDR-S13U-X, a Billycar special. Nothing, the disc isn't recognized either ...

Re: Fong Sai Yuk 2 dump submitted
I actually sent it to you directly
But sure, I'll upload it. I used to use file.io for this, and apparently while I was sleeping they were acquired by limewire, and subsequently destroyed, so I'll look for a new anonymous host to use that I like, and push them up and post them here.
