Re: Movie file organization software
I have to agree with dcoke22: what exactly are you looking for in organisation? I use Plex and all my movie files are named "Movie Name (Year)". They are all in a single folder. The exception would be where I have two different versions such as "Movie Name (Year) - 1080p" and &qu...

Re: Issues with Blue Ray RIp
the converted h.264 sample - not hearing actors speak only sound effects Are you watching it on a system that supports surround sound? I have come across a similar issue many times when trying to play back the 5.1 soundtrack over a stereo system. You get the left and right channels, and nothing els...

Re: How do you all watch the MKV remuxes over your home network?
I use Plex server on a desktop computer which is connected to the LAN, and Plex client on Nvidia Shield Pro in my cinema room. Gigabit ethernet (fixed line) between them. I can still read and rip regular Blu Rays and DVDs, but UHD discs have ceased to even be recognized. I recently ran into an is...

Re: Top Gun: Maverick
I've been ripping DVDs, Blu-Rays and recently 4K UHDs for a few years now, using an Asus BW-16D1HT in an external powered USB 3 enclosure with the flashed firmware to enable LibreDrive. Purchased a copy of MakeMKV -- one of the best value software purchases I've made. Thought I knew what I was doing...

Re: Video Issues with Plex and LG OLED
I'm no expert, but I have been using MakeMKV to rip my personal collection of movies and TV shows for several years now, and I serve these to our home with a PLEX server. I have come across similar issues where some movies just didn't play properly on a specific device. They would play well directly...
