Re: Ripping 4K UHD Disks
I've got no idea, since I got the notebook just about 2 weeks ago, it's running the very latest windows version and patches. Maybe, if you got an older ISO, run it through Rufus as Win-to-Go on an USB thumb drive and boot from it may help?

Re: Ripping 4K UHD Disks
Hi there. I've got a weird problem, too. I wanted to try the newer hardware on my Laptop for AV1 encoding, but makemkv was not able to decrypt the Oppenheimer 4k disc and gave me a dump file. So I sent the dump and tried again today to no avail. I also used a powered USB hub to rule out the device h...

Re: Seemingly Duplicate Titles
Hi. I've yet to find a solution for this problem, too. Currently, I've got the Alita - Battle Angel UHD and it has like 9 titles. Luckily it seems only to be a text right after the Sony Logo, which got it's own, translated version (e.g. 00805.mpls contains the german one), so I was able to find it f...

Re: Ripping Errors ?
I'm not a pro, so I hope I don't talk complete rubbish, but as far as I understood movie compression, this is caused by a missing index. See, a compressed movie is made by few full frames (I-Frame) and the others only contain the difference (P-Frame) to the previous (and sometimes in both directions...

Re: WH16NS60 No Disc Error
Well, the WH16NS60 wasn't that loud, especially inside a PC case with a front door and sound insulation, though louder than my old BDR-209EBK, which is really silent, yes. The external BDR-XD07TUHD on the other side is more like a hair dryer...

Re: WH16NS60 No Disc Error
Hey, I just wanted to thank Billycar11, the LG is on its way back to the seller and I got myself a BDR-XD07TUHD, which works great, though it's loud. Maybe I try another internal LG or maybe Asus in the future for watching movies direct from disc and to have an alternative, should the Pioneer have t...

Re: WH16NS60 No Disc Error
Now I'm curious, how many drives are defective from the beginning? Are UHD drives that fragile? I want to get a Pioneer UHD external USB drive next, is the return rate as high as for the other drives?

Re: WH16NS60 No Disc Error
Thank you for your reply.
Well, the LG updater doesn't do anything, as I said. Amazon most likely will destroy it anyways. Fun thing: It was sent from the US to Germany and now I have to send it back to the US, Amazon paying

Re: WH16NS60 No Disc Error
Hey there. I also buyed the WH16NS60, flashing the patched 1.3 worked fine, but the drive reads like crap, only one UHD movie out of 6 was read flawless, one wasn't even recognized. Do you still have the original firmware? Since my drive is new, I think, it's just faulty, but I didn't think about ba...
