Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Does anybody know if CoreElec (with the AM6B+) supports BD-J with ISO playback? I know that ripping UHDs to MKV is more convenient (and allows you to use Plex, etc) but it might be nice to have the "full disc experience" ? Does anybody else do this or is this a waste of time? :) As it was...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

I use the plex ''composite'' addon with Arctic Zephyr skin. You can configure it to work exactly like plex. Thanks for the information. In the end my choice was Emby over Plex. I like the server interface better. For Kodi there is the Emby Next Gen addon. As a skin I find this to be really beautifu...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Hi everyone. I have a TV that does not support LED TV. Nits less than 1000. If I buy Ugoos, am I right? Or would LLDV be broken in my case? Second question: My TV is Android and with Kodi I can play all DV profiles up to 7 MEL. I would only use Ugoos for 7 Fel. But if for example I have a dv 8 film,...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Good evening everyone. I'm going crazy trying to limit the brightness of the subtitles, as my x800m2 can't handle them well. (Any video app on my TV doesn't have this problem) I'm trying to use the script but I'm getting this error. What I did: - Source file: mkv - Mux in ts with tsmuxer which turns...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Here I don't find any differences even in the camera images. well I don't know. Are you using a phone to take those pictures? if yes, you need a DSLR camera that can lock all the settings. On a phone, there's always the exposure or ISO that remains dynamic making it almost impossible to make...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

I don't know what to say... the image given by the wrong P8 seems even brighter and more enjoyable to me. Enough.. I don't give up on understanding more Then your TV internal player is wrong. It just make no sense that (2000 L1 + 1000nits BL) produce a brighter image than (1000 L1 + 1000 BL) Sorry ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

well as you have shown in your FAST X comp, regardless of FEL, there is a difference between your BD player and internal tv player(tv being brighter , cooler). So those comparison looks as expected IMO because the P8 file has wrong metadata for the BL brightness, which makes it much darker than it ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

FAST X DV FEL does not add anything to the BL. I'm talking about FEL BD that expands brightness. try these: https://drive.google.com/file/d/15OcPsWaCQoukHaPFVb0MCknRIdehyzRc/view?usp=drive_link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1g-SCg0sAqMRskBL62DyATSq5eBHlrAAd/view?usp=drive_link https://drive.googl...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

This is why I'm confused. Because for me it's the opposite. The P8 film (converted - reproduced directly from the TV, therefore "LED TV") is brighter than the same film in P7 FEL (from x800m2, therefore "LED player"). Maybe I persist in not understanding something. Look here: FAS...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

So, the point is this: I'm asking what I lose if I convert the FEL to 8.1 for a reason. The reason is that my TV, unfortunately, is PLAYER LED and therefore leaves the "dirty work" to my x800M2. However, the difference that I notice when I watch a film with Dolby vision played directly fro...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

look at the comparisons in the red section that says: Can only be played on a FEL device and can't be converted to P8 without baking FEL into EL https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jBIGF8XTVi9VmDBZ8a5hEyongYMCDlUiLHU9n1f_S74/edit#gid=0 Thank you.
