Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
As I said before, yes Mike may add it which will enable libredrive but it will still not read UHD discs. Not until it is cross-flashed to the UHD model BDR-UD04 (which will also enable libredrive). Sorry, dunno when/who you said precisely that before. Maybe to someone else, or I didn’t get it thoug...

Re: Optical Drive External Enclosures
For those who will look at this in the future. External enclosures are becoming less and less available on the market, especially the 5.25" As a result they are becoming pretty expensive. 2-3 years ago, it used to be around 3000-4000 yens though (25 bucks maybe at that time)... Dunno abo...

Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
As the admin posted here: "RS8xxx and later, including RS9xxx RSAxxx and so on. Should be supported." and "Please post the drive model here." As my model's chip is a RS8510, eventually, may I post my model here? BD-RE PIONEER BD-RW BDR-UD03 1.03 MLDL038441WL May I ask to incorpor...

Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
:) Then, how to make this UD03, Makemkv “enable”? What about the sdf.bin file? Should I ask to enlist this drive in it, or something like so? The only way to enable UHD ripping on that drive is to contact Billycar11 and purchase his flasher. Thank you but really? It sounds a little bit odd... :roll...

Re: Pioneer BDR-UD03 compatibility
Pioneers from 2013 can do UHD after being flashed https://i.postimg.cc/k6NhbfHg/Layers-Compatibility.jpg Yes. At the hardware level they seems compatible with BDXL 3 layers. So, they may do the trick in order to read an UHD disk up to 100Gb. Do we know who made the firmware to make these BDR-UD03 l...

Re: Pioneer BDR-UD03 compatibility
Thank you. So, in fact, pioneer drives are still not a good option for libredrive purposes…!?!!? Is that the conclusion we can take? they are the best option if you get one with old fw or are willing to get it professionally flashed I vamped this one from an old notebook. So, I can tell it i...

Re: Pioneer BDR-UD03 compatibility
You surely are a talented “flasher”. However, as I’ve already done 2 drives by myself, I would to do this one too, by myself. I already have 2 freed drives. So, freeing the UD03 is not an absolute necessity, nor an emergency either. This is just to have a portable libredrive, if possible. Eventually...

Hi, This is an old post, but it seems that Pioneer drives benefit of a better compatibility/support today. Me too I have a BDR-UD03. <a href="https://ibb.co/MSzKr01"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/XLn61R5/Pioneer-BDRUD03.jpg" alt="Pioneer-BDRUD03" border="0"></a>...

Re: Question about BH14NS58 firmware
I bought a used BH14NS58 v1.02.
With SDFtool 1.3.4, I flashed "DE_LG_WH16NS60_1.02_MK.bin" in it.
The drive is still usuable. It seems good, and libre now.

Re: Trouble flashing BH16NS58
Thank you for all the job done. I bought a used BH16NS58, then flashed it using "HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WH16NS60-1.03-NM00600-212005081010.bin" and SDFtool flasher. It worked smoothly. Just to let you know it works with the next version too. Now I got this: ****************************************...
