I still think it would be useful to have a subtitle token but a workaround seems to be this:
-sel:((!special)*(!mono)*(!stereo)*(!multi)*(!forced))

Re: Profiles settings discussion
By the way, for people who only want forced subtitles in their favorite language (or no language), I guess they would append something like this (I have NOT tested this): -sel:(!forced) Unfortunately, this unselects all tracks that are not forced including all audio tracks! I think we need to reque...

Re: Profiles settings discussion
Hmm, mine doesn't look like that. How did you create the profile? I copied it from my MakeMKV application directory: \ Program Files (x86) \ MakeMKV \ default.mmcp.xml I think you should use the template from the other thread - the name tag looks important to me and is different in the template.

Re: Profiles settings discussion
I'd like to know exactly what the "ignoreForcedSubtitlesFlag" tag means? Does this control whether a forced track is actually flagged as "forced" in the MKV metadata?

Re: +forced with 1.7.0
Just remove "+forced" as "+favlang" selects both forced and non-forced items. -all,+favlang,+nolang,-havemulti,-havecore How do we select ONLY the "lang (forced only)" subtitle track for a specific language? In other words, if I don't want subtitles at all, except for ...

Re: 3D Backups?
It has been possible to play 3D MKVs for some time with an "under the TV" player:

In that thread I see references to DVDFab and MKVMerge. Are we saying MakeMKV cannot create the correct format files?

Re: Extra aspect ratio flag
I have had this issue a number of times and it always seems to be badly authored PAL DVDs. It is possible to fix this yourself but not exactly easy. 1. Rip your DVD to the hard disk so you have write access to the VOB files. 2. Download DVD Patcher: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/DVDPatcher 3. Open ...

Re: Why forced subtitles are not marked as forced subtitles
I would also like to see them flagged correctly - the newest Popcorn Hour player firmware does not work as intended because MakeMKV does not set the forced flags, see here:

Re: Force Subtitles not read by Syabas newest firmware on A
It's rather a shortcoming of MKV format - MakeMKV deliberately doesn't tag forced subtitles with "forced" flag as many players behave incorrectly when they see it. You can change this flag without remuxing, by using MKV header editor from mkvtoolnix. I don't think it is fair to say this i...

Re: 1.6.4 vs 1.6.3 - disc read speed
1.6.5 is MUCH slower for me. Windows 7 x64. LG BD-RE BH10LS30, Internal, SATA. Rip lock removed with MediaSpeedCodeEdit. Ripping a Blu-ray with seamless branching is now painful with the new version. For example, Star Trek TOS Blu-ray has hundreds of M2TS files to process and its seems to constantly...

Re: MakeMKV picks wrong LPCM codec-id
I have a registered version of MakeMKV. Running 1.6.3 on Windows 7 x64. Every time I rip a bluray with an LPCM track, it's not playable in any software. When i run mediainfo on it, the codec-id that MakeMKV picks is "A_MS/ACM". This is an extremely uncommon codec. I suspect MakeMKV should...
