BP50NB40 vs BP60NB10
Hey guys, I have the BP50NB40 I bought from Best Buys years ago, and flashed it myself. I have ripped alot of 4k disc's with it, only a very few spit out errors, most of the time it's overlapping frame, out of sync audio errors. Even tho they display these errors, the movies usually turn out fine an...

Re: Blu-Ray .ISO and .MKV on Xbox Series X
Im not sure what the xbox can play or not, but I would think its gonna need some type of conversion. You can try Universal Media Server https://www.universalmediaserver.com/ The only player I recommend is the oppo 203 clone, as it has true FEL playback, giving you full compatibility with all Blu-ray...

Re: Ripping Blurays with full Dolby Vision layers in mkv
I know this is an old thread, but I'm on the cusp of buying a media player, and I also want one that can do true "fel" encoded rips. I've already spoken to someone about getting an oppo clone for $350, if that's the only player still that can do proper fel, that's what I'm gonna get.

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2022
Yeah happens all the time but before you throw it away fully turn it off completely power off your computer and unplug it or unplug the drive case if external. It's internal. :( Tried uninstalling, reinstalling, etc. It just stopped working with no system changes whatsoever. If "happens all th...

DV Titles and MakeMKV 1.17.1
So I have read different threads in here on the current handling with dolby vision and makemkv 1.17.1. I am relatively new to ripping uhd titles with DV, so as of now, If I just rip the main title with true hd 7.1 sound to an mkv, and then stream it directly from my PC to my Nvidia Shield Pro ( 2019...

Re: Is it time to buy a new drive?
I have the same drive, only mine is manufactured in 2022, Instead of that silly 2 dongle that comes with the device, replace it with a USB 3.x cable, type a to micro usb. When mine started acting up, replacing the cable cleared all errors. You only need that dual cable if you only have usb 2.0 port...

Re: BP50NB40 SVC:NB52 - A/V Sync Issues
Ok guys, did a little troubleshooting on my own. I first started by switching the twin dongle to different ports, no luck. Uninstalled in device manager and rebooted to let it detect and install again, no luck, still a crap ton of issues. After looking at some other threads, this is what I did to fi...

Re: Is it time to buy a new drive?
We have a LG Slim Portable Blu-ray/DVD Writer - Model WP50NB40 (March 2018) with the patched firmware and it's having the most villainous time reading brand-new Blu-ray disks (after patching, finally managed to scan titles which took several hours, and then it was only able to save 5 titles out of ...

Re: Help with BP50NB40 for UHD
Do you think force flashing it might work? At this point I have nothing to lose. It just might. Give it a go and let us know. To do that you must have a copy of the original firmware as newer SVC: NS50 firmware will never work. I have a BP50NB40 NB52 that came with firmware 1.03, that I successfull...

BP50NB40 SVC:NB52 - A/V Sync Issues
So I have the BP50NB40 SVC:NB52, followed the directions on https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=22896 and I seem to get lots of a/v sync issues. Im wondering if I should re-flash, or are this many av sync errors normal? These errors are from the regular blu-ray disc Jurassic Par...

Re: AV Sync errors using v1.17.1 win(x64-release), 4K UHD disc
I wrote a post about this a couple years ago now. It is still mostly relevant. https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=22903&p=94894#p94894 The short, short version is, there's nothing to worry about. Those messages are a side effect of something called seamless branching. I am...

I have the BP50NB40 SVC CODE: NB52 and followed the instructions on the 1st page of this post: https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=22896 It varies a little bit from your instructions, unless I am reading it wrong. Is there any benefit to re-doing the process in the way you are ...

Hey guys, So I just picked up an LG BP50NB40, SVC CODE: NB52 I followed all the instructions on page 1 for this specific model and encourted no errors.
