Re: “Fatal Error Occured” with MacOS 15.4 Developer Beta 1
Same problem here with the older version. Upgraded to the latest for Mac/OS and now, after the disc scan, the read fails due to something it can't do while downloading Hash Keys (?). I guess this is just something to do with the decryption but wanted to see if anyone else is having the same issue. ...

Re: Is there a way to create a seperate mkv for each title in a disc?
Most disks that I've backedup have separate MKV files for each episode/title. It is very rare that I get a disk that just has all the episodes in a single block; in those situations I then use MKVToolNix (doesn't transcode - still full quality, still mkv file) to break into separate titles by timest...

Re: Comprehension question Makemkv
You can (likely) backup blurays without special firmware, and you can (likely) flash the firmware on your drive to get both bluray & UHD disks working. The best part is that makemkv is free & you can likely use it almost forever without paying. I purchased my copy after years of using it onc...

Did you consider reaching out to the vendor? I remember the email being from sales@payproglobal.com & the key itself being in the 'order' email, not the 'receipt' email.

Re: I know its been asked before but ...
Basically it is a form of copy protection where they give every possible variation of the cuts of the movie, but only one is actually valid. Usually it helps to check on the forums to search the name of the movie & see if anyone has figured out which one is correct. There are also some posts her...

Re: issue with ripping.
Try a different random disk - if it works I'd argue bad disk. Some folks mention that even brand new out of box disks can fail and/or need a cleaning prior to ripping in the past.

Re: Why is only the audio ripped?
Pioneer BDR-XS07UHD drive (manufactured June 23, running latest firmware) Wait - latest manufacturer firmware or latest patched firmware? If manufacturer I'd recommend browsing the forum for the patched firmware & flash that instead. Also, as everyone stated the video seems to be in the file yo...

I suggest checking out TrueNAS forums - if you got ~4 hours to dedicate to learning, it'll give you great peace of mind in terms of data redundancy.

Re: Windows Explorer Crash
I've experienced it on two different systems with Windows 11 having file explorer hang after USING (not just launching, but doing active work on a disk). Maybe it happens after I specifically read more than 1 disk, sometimes not. It isn't guaranteed, but it is fairly consistent. Replicated with ddr4...

Re: Windows Explorer Crash
Donno if it is memory related - I remember going for many, many passes of memtest since I've setup my rig (without fail) & only makemkv does this. Mild inconvenience at worst for me to restart explorer.exe

Re: Windows Explorer Crash
I've had the same issue since forever - I usually just restart explorer.exe after using makemkv out of habit.

Re: Cutting out inappropriate scenes
mkxNIX is clutch & will guarantee you don't have to sacrifice quality or any of the subtitles, audio tracks, chapters, etc. etc. It is also great for joining movies split over multiple disks into a single file or multiple episodes glued into a single file into multiple files. If you're very para...
