1.7.10.

The version does not (really) matter though. Every version since about 1.5 goes out to the internet for the latest SVQ files anyways.

Re: Laura -1944 new release BD failed to process BD+ code

I have the same problem. My Blu ray of Laura just arrived (a great movie, BTW) and it failed to rip with exactly the same error indication... "Failed to process BD+ code, please check....www.makemkv.com/svq for updated program and SVQ files." I am minimally tech savvy and don't know what ...

Re: Prometeus crash

I upgraded to 1.7.7 and it downloaded some new SQV files and it is now ripping. What is odd is that I'm set up to be notified of automatic upgrades, but for whatever reason the version change did not get recognized and so I was never under the impression that a newer version was available. In any ev...

Re: PGS Subtitles MakeMKV & Handbrake

If makemkv sets the forced flag to yes that's a new feature, it's never done it on any rips I have done....and yes Mike's work on this is much appreciated which is why I have kicked in $50 for MakeMKV.

Re: PGS Subtitles MakeMKV & Handbrake

The point of Foreign Audio Search is to pick the correct track/forced combination. Whether you use burn-in, default (which software players - like VLC, MPLayer, maybe XBMC - will often display by default) or flagging the track as forced (e.g. via mkvmerge or its header editor) is up to you. Well, m...

Re: PGS Subtitles MakeMKV & Handbrake

Getting the subtitles i.e. alien language for movies such as John Carter and Avatar to work seems to be lot more complicated than i thought after reading this thread. i have converted all files from John Carter to MKV and downloaded handbrake. If someone could tell what steps (I am a newbie) i need...

Re: PGS Subtitles MakeMKV & Handbrake

OK, thanks, that answers it. I think I will just do what I ended up going with for these rips which was I just took the forced track from MakeMKV and told Handbrake to burn it in.

Re: PGS Subtitles MakeMKV & Handbrake

If your output is to and MKV, then you don't need to burn any subs in. I believe the highest logging level is 2. You would set it from the preferences screen. I forget which tab has it, but go through them and you'll find the one for Logging Level. SC Okay, I will get a log, here's my question. If ...

Re: PGS Subtitles MakeMKV & Handbrake

What debug level would be required in the encode log to provide useful information? P.S. This is what I'm trying to do, although I'd be even happier of the 2nd track could be marked "forced" for playback without having to be burned in video.

Re: PGS Subtitles MakeMKV & Handbrake

I should point out that my challenge/issue appears to be with handbrake and not with MakeMKV, I was just hoping that others more experienced than myself could help me understand how handbrake deals with forced and regular subs in the same title as I have always gotten an extremely frosty reception a...
