Like many others before me, I also purchased a pre-flashed LG BU40N drive from Billy. The drive came fast and was professionally packaged. It ripped all of the disks that I have tried so far with makemkv. Billy is super friendly with excellent tech support.

But I'm not playing a bluray disc but ripped 4K video files on my local c-drive. Did I misunderstand your answer?

How to play 4K UHD ripped movies using VLC
Hi ... new to all things ripping, VLC and using UHD friendly drives. I bought a UHD friendly drive from one of the prominent forum members here that I received a few days ago.
