If you're only ripping DVDs, why not use one of the numerous other projects that do that?

Your screen shot looks strange to me. It looks like the DD 5.1 English is 'attached' to the video line. I don't see that on my system. The audio lines are alway separate from the video line. Perhaps that's a display bug on your system? If you rip it and inspect the resulting .mkv file with MediaInf...

Some movies are a lot more worth the upgrade than others. Movies like Lord of the Rings, Blade Runner, Lawrence of Arabia, etc, are worth it. Other movies are probably sufficient in blu-ray.
I definitely buy new movies in 4k whenever available though.

Dolby Atmos (TrueHD) for Lawrence of Arabia not showing up
I recently picked up this steelbook and I went to rip it and noticed that the Atmos track does not show up. I played the disc in my blu-ray player so I know the disc definitely has Atmos. Really make sure you thoroughly cleaned them and then you might have to try a few times before they rip successfully. I remember having issues with those discs as well.
