Re: "Bus error" error with an ASUS BW-16D1HT (3.10-MK) drive in a Raidsonic IB-525-U3 (JMS567) case
Today I was able to test it and it works properly with 64-bit kernel and 64-bit userspace as well. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to make it work on an aarch64 kernel and a 32-bit (armhf) userspace. In most cases, this combination is still in use as a general standard. The situation is the same o...

Re: "Bus error" error with an ASUS BW-16D1HT (3.10-MK) drive in a Raidsonic IB-525-U3 (JMS567) case
I think I got a bit closer to the problem, because the error only exists on systems that use a 64-bit (aarch64) kernel but have a 32-bit (armhf) userspace. At the moment, I haven't been able to try it on native 64-bit. However, it was tested on native 32-bit with Amlogic S812 SoC, makemkvc does not ...

"Bus error" error with an ASUS BW-16D1HT (3.10-MK) drive in a Raidsonic IB-525-U3 (JMS567) case
First of all, the above drive+case combo works perfectly under Windows 10. But I tried under OSMC (Vero 4K+) and LibreELEC-AML (multiple S905D, S912), on several Amlogic devices (armhf), but with the above combination I get this error: osmc@Vero4K-Plus:~$ makemkvcon --debug info disc:0 MakeMKV v1.17...

Re: FATAL: Module sg not found
As I can see, this problem has been solved in the meantime:
Vero 4K/4K+: enable CONFIG_CHR_DEV_SG=m · osmc/osmc@fde3aeb

Re: makemkv on OSMC (Raspberry Pi 4)
Unfortunately, I don't have a BluRay drive or disc. However, the user (Samui) who requested the package from me tested it, and disc playback works for him without any problems under Kodi 18 (Leia) on my LE build v9.2.8.4.

Re: makemkv on OSMC (Raspberry Pi 4)
It looks like a little chaos to me. Under LibreELEC, the 64-bit ARM kernel (aarch64) is accompanied by a 64-bit module (CHR_DEV_SG).
Other than that, everything else is 32-bit, including the libraries in use, which are:

Re: Request for an 'armhf' version (32-bit)
In the meantime, I also tested it under the native 32-bit ARMv7 SoCs: Amlogic S812 (Cortex-A9) and Amlogic S805 (Cortex-A5), and I didn't experience any errors under them either, the armhf version works fine. Mike, is it possible to expect that armhf version will be a permanent part of the bin packa...

Re: Request for an 'armhf' version (32-bit)
I finally managed to try it on an external DVD-RW drive with DVD-Video disc. 20220630_063906.jpg Edit: missing binaries ('mmgplsrv' and 'mmccextr') added to package bin directory. KI-Pro2:~ # makemkvcon mkv disc:0 all downloads/dvd/ MakeMKV v1.17.0 linux(armhf-release) started Profile parsing error:...

It also looks good on S812 (ARMv7, 32-bit only)

Re: Request for an 'armhf' version (32-bit)
Please test this one - https://mail.makemkv.com/download/makemkv-bin-1.17.0_armhf.tar.gz . Feedback is appreciated. Thanks, it was very fast. ;) Unfortunately, I can't test for lack of a drive and disc, I'm just making the package for LibreELEC. However, the user who actually asked for it will defi...

Re: Request for an 'armhf' version (32-bit)
Mike, you once asked Chewi in the AMRv6/Pi topic that you need to drop armel support in favor of armhf , and you also received confirmation from Chewi that you should drop armel, just provide armhf . More than a year has passed since then. So what is the reason that no armhf version has been made at...

Re: Request for an 'armhf' version (32-bit)
Well, I was about to "fix" this by removing 32-bit arm altogether. I forgot that I wanted to bring it to life under ARMv7 (e.g. Amlogic S812), but it is natively 32-bit only. Unfortunately, there is no alternative to this, only the armhf. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under im...

Request for an 'armhf' version (32-bit)
Several people had previously indicated on other topics in the forum, but now it was time to open a new topic for this request. Under 64-bit ARM SoCs, many people use 64-bit kernel (aarch64) with 32-bit userspace, because Google’s Widevine DRM does not have a 64-bit support. On the other hand, makem...

Re: ARMv6 support / Raspberry Pi
It might be better to open a new topic to request an armhf version, because mike doesn't really respond.
