So, I got my BW-16D1HT.
makemkv says it has 3.10 on it. In the guide on the first page it says that 3.11 is an encrypted firmware. Does that mean that 3.10 not encrypted, so I don't use "enc" in the flash command?
Never mind. Found an older thread with the same question. Works. Thank you!

Buying a new ASUS BW-16D1HT- firmware traps?
Hello, I already had the same drive, and as I wrote in a different thread, it seems to have died on me. Now I want to buy a new one. Do you know if I need to look out for something? If I buy a new one today, is it possible that there is a firmware on it that will not allow me to flash libredrive on ...

Re: Is my Asus BW-16D1HT broken?
I opened it, and then watched the drive to it's thing. The (red) laser turns on, moves a bit around. The disc is actually a little bit, like 2 or 3 degrees while the laser searches something. In one of the tries I gave the disc a little spin with my finger (actually on a thing from the drive, not th...

Re: Is my Asus BW-16D1HT broken?
Doesn't help.
Guess I'll try to open it tomorrow and see if I can do something. I mean, I can't make it worse, right?
Though I probably should start looking for a new drive that is compatible.

Re: Is my Asus BW-16D1HT broken?
Same behaviour. The led of the drive is just blinking. It does a make a few short noises, but nothing is happening. Makemkv also shows "No disc". And when I take it out again, the disc did not move it's rotation, so it seems that it was never spinning. The short noises might be attempts to...

Re: Is my Asus BW-16D1HT broken?
Yes. I gave it an hour so without the pc being plugged into the socket.
I also noticed that makemkv at least saw the disc label of the movie. But when I clicked on the button, it seemed to don't do anything, and after 5 minutes I just cancelled it.

Is my Asus BW-16D1HT broken?
Hi, I used that drive for years now with makemkv and everything was fine, including UHDs. Since today it does not recognize any disc, not even regular bluray discs. Even from booting the PC its LED is just blinking... When I put in a disc, it does not seem to spin up, just keeps blinking. makemkv (i...

Re: Do I need all audio track levels?
Does that mean that the layer below it is already included in the top layer and would just be an additional track?

Do I need all audio track levels?
Hello, That's maybe a stupid question, but if a title has, lets say a TrueHD track, and in the level below is the DD surround stream, or in other cases there is a DTS-HD, with a DTS Core below it. Do I need both for the top one to work? So, do I need to extract TrueHD and DD in order to have TrueHD ...
