Re: Pioneer BDR XS07UHD
One must install drive utility software to boost the speed of drive . I recommend to install to gear up the performance . Flashing the drive using unskilled tools may demage the memory of drive , must be avoided . Keep checking the firmware update available on pioneer website to allow latest feature...

Re: Pioneer BDR XS07UHD
I plan to purchase this drive to use with a Mac Studio and a single USB-C 10Gbps cable for data/power, have a few questions if anyone can answer: - Just to confirm this drive is now UHD-friendly with MakeMKV and there's no need to have it flashed? - Pioneer's last firmware update for this drive is ...

Re: Pioneer BDR XS07UHD
I bought this drive today on amazon.co.uk Ripped a 4k blu ray with it right out of the box. I'm wondering though if I've paid massively over the odds, at £250. The BDR XS07TUHD is around £90 less. Can't seem to find any difference in terms of spec except one is a top loader the other is a slot load...

Makemkv needs to have online access to load a new SDF.bin. Hopefully your Pioneer is also supported. No need to flash firmware.

Re: Pioneer BDR XD05S
More useful would be the information MakeMKV displays when it starts with the drive plugged in. You should be able to rip DVD and regular Bluray disks, same as when you started this topic yesterday. Advancing beyond that isn't going to happen between the times you ask if it's changed. All right .

Re: Pioneer BDR XD05S
Quite Drive Utility https://pioneer.jp/device_e/product-e/ibs/device_e/dev00001r_e.html edit: scratch that. BDR-XS05 series NOT listed for that tool. IF it was a retail box, CD SHOULD have all applicable stuff. I have downloaded Drive Utility for XD05S . Now at the top of page , I can see four diff...

Re: Pioneer BDR XS07UHD
The answer is, "Possibly, but not now." If you plan on ripping UHD disks in 2022, the surest way to do it is to get a UHD-friendly drive. I've been waiting 2 years (so far) for Pioneer support, but I have Asus and LG drives that do UHD just fine. If Pioneer support shows up someday, that ...
