Re: LibDriveIO API
Taking preliminary look, the Linux download version of MakeMKV comes with the open source bits which appears to include the LibreDrive integration. So if you want to gander at LibreDrive, that's where I'd start.

Ah. Perhaps that means there was a change of plan somewhere along the line.

LibreDrive Source
According the the original post from Mike about LibreDrive, it was mentioned to be intended for open source at some point. Afaik, that still hasn't happened. Do we know the status on this? Is more work being done on something before the release? Has there been a change of plan altogether? Or am I ju...

Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
Sadly those Pioneer drives don't support UHD at all. You need a Pioneer drive with U in the model name such as Pioneer BDR-S12UHT for an example. Older drives predate 4k discs and the ability to read them.

Sorry to hear that. Dead drives are never fun. On the plus side, that pioneer is a fantastic drive.

Re: Drive (2011) - Cannot Be Decrypted
The newly-released 4K UHD of "Drive" (2011) - published by Second Sight - cannot be decrypted in the latest version of MakeMKV. I've submitted a dump file to svq@makemkv.com I thought MakeMKV uses LibreDrive to ignore the encryption? LibreDrive is used to ignore revocation lists and firmw...

Re: LG BH16NS55 flashed but not working
Drive looks fine. It can open and read the disc. The disc read error is probably a dirty disc. Clean the disc first and retry. You may need to get a replacement disc if that doesn't work. If you want to check the drive, try a different disc. That may indicate that you need to clean the drive itself,...

It says your LibreDrive is enabled. No patching necessary. You're already good to go.

Re: Standalone digitization hardware and media center
seems like a cool idea. I don't know about any currently included in Libredrive, but slot load 4k drives do exist. Best bet for libredrive would probably be Pioneer BDR-XS07UHD

Re: How to find which one is which episode?
You can't tell from there. Best practical solution is to rip it, and play it manually. They tend to be most often mostly in order, but you do run into oddities here and there. Thusly ripping TV shows is a bit more of a pain than a movie

Check and make sure you've got the 755 permissions. If so, something else may be going on.

Re: Beginner setup help
Never tried to up-, downgrade or unlock a firmware on a drive - but that normally doesn't hinder me from trying stuff  Do you have a guide that would help me? If not that's ok I will look around and there is probably a good one on this forum. Fair enough. There is a whole thread dedicated to ...

Re: Beginner setup help
Welcome to the community :) Sounds like you're on the right track. You've watched some videos then? Once you get it setup, it's put the disc in, click to open it, select the videos you want off it, and press start. So your steps are solid. And everything done through MakeMKV is lossless from disc. A...

Re: Any Linux or *nix Users Out There Who Have a CRC Checksum for GhostBusters: Afterlife?
The scratch could result in random data being read back if it were affecting any of the data of the film, so a CRC check against yourself would differ in such a case. If it came back the same, you could be reasonably confident the scratch didn't affect the part of the disc you were interested in. Wh...

Re: Any Linux or *nix Users Out There Who Have a CRC Checksum for GhostBusters: Afterlife?
I do have the film myself, but I doubt that a CRC checksum would tell you much as you would expect them to be different from disc to disc as the foil pressings themselves can differ a bit on the bit level (This is why some UHD discs are playable, but not rippable and people suggest replacing even ne...
