Does MakeMKV have a preferred Linux distro it is developed against, Ubuntu or something? I can dual boot, or maybe virtualize, any distro, for the occasional need to pull down a disc.

Re: 4k discs and MakeMKV Win32/Win64/Lin64

Re: 4k discs and MakeMKV Win32/Win64/Lin64
Appreciate the response, thanks. The installed distro is Slackware-current from a few months ago. I don't believe "docker" is distributed with that distro. Unless you are talking about something else. I am not familiar with the term, so my brief web search indicates it's software that has ...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2022
Yep, the new 1.02 version is encrypted. Just click the ✖ to toggle the encryption mode to ✔. You should then be able to complete the flash. A huge thanks, that did the trick! I thought about it but I couldn't find my fw from the encrypted list and was affraid of the warnings. Thanks for figuring th...

4k discs and MakeMKV Win32/Win64/Lin64
Hey all, been ripping DVDs, blu rays, laserdiscs, and VHS tapes for years, decided it was time to figure out 4k UHD discs. After wrapping my head around how to get the Libredrive firmware updates on my optical drives, I am finally pulling 4k discs down to the hard drive, am quite impressed with Make...

WH16NS40 & HLDS BU40N Experience
Let me start by saying thanks to all the effort put into getting the Libredrive firmware working in the various optical drives we use. The work you've done is so far beyond my ability to do myself, it is greatly appreciated. Here's my experience with two drives that have come into my possession rece...
