Convert to ProRes
First, what I am trying to do: I have an Atomos Ninja2 HDMI recorder / player. I believe Apple ProRes (.mov container) is the format it records in. I have no problem converting its recordings to other formats. I wanted to try using the Ninja2 as a player of files loaded on to its drive. So if I am w...

Re: Obfuscation Newbie & ISO question
Oh, I always rip to a folder. Hence, in my Disney test I found a huge file (among many others) which was the whole movie.

Re: Obfuscation Newbie & ISO question
Wait...are you suggesting that for non obfuscated with one main file? Or is this something that might work for obfuscated as well? Does Nero create .iso or just burn from one? Re Lionsgate (mentioned above): My first thought was this sounds like something Disney would do so to test that theory this ...

Re: Obfuscation Newbie & ISO question
Not DCP player software but a cinema server. Private facility. Personal use after hours. DCP conversion via DCP-O-Matic which is top notch freeware. But, yes, too much space plus extremely long conversion time. One issue with the other solutions is that there's not a sufficiently fast computer where...

Re: Obfuscation Newbie & ISO question
Why would it not work if encrypted? Doesn't the player take care of that? Sure, given a choice decrypted gives more options. Will your suggest result in generally playable disk? I'm assuming it would not requiring authoring the disk, making menus etc. And does it solve the obfuscation issue? I just ...

Re: Obfuscation Newbie & ISO question
My goal is to make a duplicate disk. I want to be able to have copies of a few favorites so I can have them at two places and not have to remember to bring them. Blu-ray media on Blu-ray disk is more efficient than taking up a lot of drive space. Even without the obfuscation issue, I've not yet lear...

Re: .iso to MKV using MakeMKV?
What are you using to make .iso's from the BD's? Is there a free solution? On the ones I've tried the free version is limited to a useless size.
BTW, my goal is to clone a BD. In theory creating an .iso and then burn from that, unless there is a better way.

Re: Obfuscation Newbie & ISO question
May as well give it a try. Can anyone recommend a free, unrestricted BD to .iso maker?

Re: Obfuscation Newbie & ISO question
So I can’t just clone a disc leaving it encrypted, an exact copy of the original?

Obfuscation Newbie & ISO question
I guess I've been lucky because I have only recently had my first encounters with Playlist Obfuscation. Seems like a lot of trouble to deal with. If I only want to create a backup copy of my BD and do not absolutely need playable files on an HD is it a reasonable solution to simply copy the entire d...
