Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Some colorists prefer to keep L1 static and do most of the work in the trims, and that can work. However, looking at the L2 trims here, they’re not dimming the image very much (gamma brightens and slope dims equally) , and given that this is an insanely bright HDR grade, I’d expect proper CMv4.0 me...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I dont know, but you can always test the original and generated tone mapping with workflow 7-4 and decide which one you prefer. @RESET_9999 given this: Since L2 trims are not static, what is the best practice here: generating new metadata or keeping retail RPU? Wouldn't it be wrong to keep retail? ...

@RESET_9999 do you always generate new Dolby Vision metadata even for CMv2.9 retail P7 with manually done trim passing?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Where can I find new versions (at least a source) of madMeasureHDR.exe? I've looked for it everywhere on the internet but I haven't been able to find it anywhere.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
@RESET_9999 I've noticed you are re-generating Dolby Vision for the entire mission impossible saga. Isn't the retail RPU good enough? Are L2 trims automatically generated even in the stock RPU?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
In the HDR10+ injection workflow the delay doesn't get applied. Here are the original scene cuts: "SceneInfoSummary": { "SceneFirstFrameIndex": [ 0, 24, 144, 180, 300, 336, 456, 492, 612, 4213, 4232, 4514, 4561, 4669, 4884, 5120, And here are the "synced" scene cuts: &q...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
@RESET_9999 if I try using the latest version of madVR the workflow 6-2 doesn't work. Why is this?
The version I downloaded comes from https://www.videohelp.com/software/madVR

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
@RESET_9999 pushed by curiosity I decided to check what the fastest method of measuring HDR with excluded letterboxes was on my PC (MKV measurement vs. Cropped ProRes measurement). The winner ended up being MKV although I have a good CPU (AMD Ryzen 7 7700x), but that's not the point. As soon as both...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
@RESET_9999 in the most recent update you introduced the possibility to measure brightness of an HDR10 video on a frame-by-frame basis, which, to me, seems the most correct approach. Does this mean the MadVR method is less accurate even with excluded letterboxes? does it work on a scene-by-scene ba...
