@RESET_9999 should I generate a new RPU? https://i.postimg.cc/PxTxnXNy/Da-morire-1995-UHD-merged-dovi-HDR10edit-rpu-Do-Vi-L2-PLOT-1000nits-trim.png https://i.postimg.cc/CKj12BMd/Da-morire-1995-UHD-merged-dovi-HDR10edit-rpu-Do-Vi-L2-PLOT-100nits-trim.png https://i.postimg.cc/qRw7kP3T/Da-morire-1995-U...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
@RESET_9999 can the RPU coming from the korean UHD Blu-ray be injected in the french UHD Blu-ray in your opinion? Plots: https://slow.pics/c/fDGDHo8Y PQ: https://slow.pics/c/TiKmEYmY I'm not 100% sure because there's a slight PQ difference between the two. For example in comparison number 12 you can...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
@RESET_9999 pushed by curiosity I decided to check what the fastest method of measuring HDR with excluded letterboxes was on my PC (MKV measurement vs. Cropped ProRes measurement). The winner ended up being MKV although I have a good CPU (AMD Ryzen 7 7700x), but that's not the point. As soon as both...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
@RESET_9999 in the most recent update you introduced the possibility to measure brightness of an HDR10 video on a frame-by-frame basis, which, to me, seems the most correct approach. Does this mean the MadVR method is less accurate even with excluded letterboxes? does it work on a scene-by-scene ba...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Is it necessary to edit RPU mastering display metadata (not L6) when injecting, or is it better to leave it as it is?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
@RESET_9999 I was taking a look at your the grade/master doc to check whether the WEB RPU for the movie The Bourne Legacy was injectable or not. L1 is fine, but it seems like PQ differs between sources. Wouldn't such RPU, if injected, change the original creator intent? PQ: https://slow.pics/c/tyiJd...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
@RESET_9999 I measured HDR10 to get MaxCLL and MaxFALL metadata using madVR and excluding black bars to get a more accurate MaxFALL value, but when I open the measurement file with madMeasurementAnalyzer it gives me a different MaxFALL than the plot. Which on should I trust? https://images2.imgbox.c...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
It works now, I uninstalled and reinstalled both LAV filters and madvr. The problem was probably due to an outdated version of madvr.RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2024 8:08 pmyeah for some people, cropping doesnt work and i don't know why.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
you measure HDR with madMeasureHDR.exe and it will tell you maxcll/fall. You can also use workflow 6-2 in dovi_scripts which use madvr. madMeasureHDR.exe input.mkv https://s12.gifyu.com/images/StBup.png After trying I get this error: Drag and drop folder with HEVC video files or a single file and p...

I'll use your script so that I can exclude black bars from the measurements.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
yeah, I have the same issue on my Windows 11 PC. I can no longer use cm_analyze, it crashes after about 10 minutes. Are you on Windows 11? I spent a couple of hours trying to debug it and nothing worked so I suspect a recent Win11 update caused this bug because I'm using the same Nvidia drivers on ...
