I looked for the BDR-XD08TB and they are priced around $120. I'm just not in the position to pay that much. I also search for the other older model but it appears to be no longer manufactured. Found it on eBay but it was for $170.

In regard to error log for MakeMKV, no. They are different and I'm not sure why that is. Any thoughts?

I tried as you suggested with no success. I tried copying the files from the disc to my harddrive and two of the files did not copy over as it was not readable or is corrupted. Hi. I have a two sets of Band of Brothers series (6 discs pack for each one) One is a blue-ray set and the other is just a standard DVD set. I DO NOT have a blue-ray and so am ripping the standard DVD disc so I can watch them via my private Plex server. I was able to rip 5 of the 6 discs without any...

I have a similar error with the first disc of Band of Brothers. The other 5 disc (including special feature disc) were ripped just fine with no issue. It's just that one disc. I could not see any kind of blemishes that might have caused it.

I hope someone can shed some light on this.

I ripped both angles and did about 10 minutes of viewing for each one. I haven't noticed anything yet. They may be very subtle for me to notice. If I do find something that is quite obvious, I will try to mark the time where it happens.

I was able to resolve the issue. I used the MKVToolNix to set the aspect ratio to which took the 'squished' ripped version of the movie from 4:3 to appear as 16:9. It's now displaying as perfectly.
