Help with 4K BluRay Burner - ?????
So I got back into ripping my old DVDs to Plex. I have an old Pioneer BDR-XD05S that is a LibreDrive. I truly forgot how I got there - don't remember flashing it. But it does work great. I'm now interested in purchasing a 4k HD Blu-ray DVD reader/burner. I would like to purchase the most recent Pion...

Re: makemkv was prevented from modifying apps on your mac
Dude this worked for me. You da man. I have no clue how to use Terminal - rely on gurus like you to lead the way. My only thoughts with your interactions - initially I had to also add Terminal to the Security App list and then quit Terminal (which also quit MakeMKV). The second time around it worke...

Re: Step by step instructions
Hey I'm also confused! Noob here. So Make Backup makes a DVD image that I guess can be burned correct? Sure, if you like. You can also open the backup (or the disc directly) in MakeMKV and create .mkv files of the contents. You can create one .mkv of the movie and additional .mkv files for any 'ext...

Bonus Materials on DVD - how to include
Hello I just started ripping my old DVDs to Plex. I'm on MacOSX Sonoma - Mac Mini M1. I did some preliminary research, and ended up selecting Make MKV combined with Handbrake. I prefer MP4 for my AppleTV. So being a noob - I open MakeMKV -It reads my DVD player with Disc inserted - and then I hit Ba...

Re: Noob .mkv format on AppleTV/MacOS
- Can AppleTV play native .mkv files? I understand that you use VLC Player on Mac to play these files - but what about playing the files on AppleTV? Which app are you intending to use on the AppleTV? If you intend to use the built-in orange 'Computer' app to play files via Home Sharing , then, no, ...
