Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I didn't think your users would care to just play in HDR, if they don't care about bitrate. But to each his own. For Dolby website, try another browser or incognito window, I think I had similar issue and used Edge. I played around a bit and it seems FFMPEG does not support native converting video ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I use PLEX and some of my friends have very bad WiFi signal, when the 4K bitrate jumps to 40-50 Mbps they just buffer non stop. And second, I like to save place. I am happy with some quality downgrade when I can reduce video size. I can not afford hundred TBs of storage. This is precisely what &quo...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hello, I stumbled upon issue, maybe someone here might be able to help me. I want to convert 4K DV+HDR10 MKV into lower bitrate MP4 to play DV on my LG Plex. Normally, when I only want to change the container from MKV to MP4 I just use ffmpeg.exe -i "source.mkv" -map 0 -c copy -c:s mov_te...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
So, can we say that conversion HDR10+ into DV is worse for scenes with low-brightness mastering? If we had like HDR10+ House of the Dragon with the famous 1 nit beach scene, then conversion would brighten it up to 10 nits?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I tried to use the tool but the final plot I get from converting HDR10+ to DV is cut at 10 nits: https://i.imgur.com/p88GpW2.png My workflow was: DoVi_Scripts_1.7.7_MKV.bat -> Mode.H -> Mode.1 -> Source MKV is Avatar.The.Way.of.Water.2022.2160p.WEB-DL.x265.10bit.HDR10Plus.DDP5.1.Atmos-CM Video ID : ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
So.. Will it be better to make own DV from HDR10+ source with your tools instead of watching original DV master, I guess?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hello. Does anyone know why the file on left did not trigger DV on LG B1 despite being Profile 8? Only HDR10 was triggered. After I run DolbyVision script Workflow 1 (and provided 2x the same input file for HDR10 and DV input file) the processed file on right did trigger DV playback. https://i.imgur...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
@gacopl I had no time to run your tool, so maybe you can answer me here. Does your scrip create MP4 that is hybrid format? I mean, DV+HDR10 compatible, so devices with no DV support will still run HDR10? Thanks.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
(...) Hy Guys, it's quite a while i don't check this awesome forum! Is now that possible ? I checked the first page but i don't find any information about. thanks! I believe it is still not possible, at least with my B1, so C1/CX will 99% be the same. LG just seems to downgrade their TVs (first dit...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Thats great to hear! Can you share more about your setup? Do you play via Plex, from USB or some other method? What kind of TV do you have? Thanks!
In my case I use Plex to stream to my TV and mobile phone.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Anybody that can help me? I am trying to accomplish the following : What i would like to achieve with Dovi tool or any other is to download a WEB-DL from any source, take out the DV metadata and add it to the UHD remux so that those versions have DV too. What i did so far are the following steps: c...
