Is it always faster for rips, to plug the drive into a separate powered USB?
E.g. for the Archigon, it has a two-headed cable, one for data, the other for power which is optional.

Have a similar problem with a new Archgon external slim drive. Only reading at a rate of 0.1x or 750+K/s. Other discs tried prior to this ripped at a normal speed, or at least I didn't notice the speed even, since it was quick. Update: seems just a mis-seated disc, after taking it back out and tryin...

Archgon drive
Have the below Archgon drive purchased from Amazon. Loaded up the GUI flasher and the MK firmwares. I heard this is the same as the LG BU40N, but there are many choices for this.
