Exactly you match the point i lost the calibration due a bad firmware update since i never made a backup of the current firmware.

If you are not interested in UHD and you only need a burner for burning the LG is a bad one. Get a Pioneer BD drive. NOPE i dont need UHD, i just use to burn on bluray, and i lost read and even burn due a error by LG but i looked and firm that i've downloaded from LG matched 100% but this screw up my LG. I dont need UHD, i just need back to life this bluray burner.

of course my BIOS support SATA like IDE wich is one of the steps required for do a firmware flash also i have my LG burner on SATA1, the
