Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
Is there a way to flash this back to the latest firmware that supports Libredrive whether 1.03 or 1.02? Will support for Pioneer drives with upgraded firmware eventually be supported? Unaware I'd lose compatibility, I upgraded my BDR-212UBK from 1.02 to: Drive Information OS device name: D: Manufac...

Re: Lite-on EB1
While Pioneer is my favorite, we all know the sad situation with those if you update them to a firmware released after Mike added LibreDrive support to it. I've had better luck with Lite On before my 4K UHD days. This seems to be the only Blu-ray drive on Liteon's site. Will it work well with MakeMK...

Re: Pioneer firmware update February 2023
I just upgraded my BDR-212UBK from 1.02 to 1.05. It's no longer a libreDrive. I wish I discovered this thread before I did this. I do believe in firmware updates for the sake of bug fixes, read/write issues with certain discs, etc.. At least with LG, MK firmware is released not long after the offici...

Re: Using MakeMKV as a Background Decrypter?
I don't think DVDFab supports my Pioneer drive. Xreveal couldn't find the key to a 4K Blu-ray I loaded. So for now, the closest way to achieve my objective is to check the VLC option in MakeMKV's Integration tab, play the disc in VLC, and while the disc is playing, get the CODEC info.

Re: Using MakeMKV as a Background Decrypter?
When enabling all the options under the Integration tab, it's as if MakeMKV cracks the encryption without removing it because without checking the options, Windows Explorer refuses to copy the BD structure. However, with the integration options checked, it manages to copy, but the files are unreadab...

Using MakeMKV as a Background Decrypter?
Now that RedFox's AnyDVDHD is gone, will checking the System option in the Integration tab allow integration so I can use tools such as BD Info without ripping the disc?

Installing MakeMKV and AnyDVDHD on One Computer
So far, I have noticed lately that AnyDVDHD uses elements of MakeMKV to expand AnyDVDHD's drive compatibility. I think it is awesome that two well-known programs are working together, especially for those who strictly plan on making unmodified backups or region-free backups using either Windows file...

It looks like this will be hit-or-miss. I asked Vantec about this and here's what they explained to me. I thought you might find it helpful. "Hi Chris, Thanks for asking. Sorry, we do not know. Let me explain, in a normal setup, these SATA optical drives installed into a system are connected t...

Breaking News
While I was on Vantec's site, just for the hell of it, I checked out their optical drive enclosures, and I stumbled upon the NST-540S3-BK, an updated version of the NST-536S3-BK, which addresses my preferences to install either my LGs or Pioneer, as well as data transfer speed and power ratings high...
