Re: Picture-in-Picture Tracks
I've been doing quite a lot of Dreamworks titles of late (Dragons franchise, Madagascar franchise, etc.) and a lot of these have PiP commentary that they call "Animator's Corner" (get it, as in the 'corner' of the screen, haha).

Re: FEATURE REQUEST: setFirstVideoTrackAsDefault
Another program update and still this option (when added to a custom profile) has no effect. This thread now has almost 5,600 views, surely that must count for something? People are obviously searching out this feature. Is there any reason this can't (or shouldn't) be done?? Is this forum even read ...

Re: How to find which one is which episode?
An option I forgot to add above... If you don't have the facilities to play a disc before-hand, you can do a decrypted backup with MakeMKV then view the thumbnails of and/or play the transport stream (.m2ts) files directly from the folder in VLC player. Then you simply match up the newly identified ...

Re: 12 Strong (2018) Blu-ray
Just to close-out this thread... I purchased another brand new copy of this title from a different source, and the two discs have identical "Disc Information" down to the timestamps, only this second copy doesn't have the same swirly marks on it and rips perfectly in MakeMKV. I'm starting ...

Re: 12 Strong (2018) Blu-ray
Unfortunately I don't have another Blu-ray PC drive to try, yet (I'm in the market for a modded UHD drive). It does seem to play okay in my LG player, although that does tend to 'gloss-over' all but the worst errors. I just thought it strange that MakeMKV wouldn't read any track on the disc at all, ...

Re: Picture-in-Picture Tracks
Just finished the TV Series "Heroes" on Blu-ray... what a PITA! Almost every episode has a PiP commentary track, and worse than that, the commentary audio is not available as a 'normal' audio track that's rippable by MakeMKV, so if you want to save the commentary you have no choice but to ...

Re: How to find which one is which episode?
I use the same method outlined by @thetoad above. I play each disc in my player (LG UBK80), and I map everything out in a notepad document. I simply play each episode and press the "Info" button on the remote and it displays the title length. I note-down each episode's name, duration and c...

Re: 3D MKV files
I don't use any of the above software. I simply check the stereo video track in MakeMKV and rip the file, then I drop the file into MKVmerge (or MKVToolNix or whatever it's called nowadays) and it automatically recognizes it as a 3D file and changes the output format from "xxx.mkv" to &quo...

Re: Picture-in-Picture Tracks
Another couple of titles to add to the list: Contraband (2012) has a PiP "Making of" track (with DTS Express audio); and Green Zone (2010) has no less than three PiP tracks hidden by MakeMKV, two video commentaries and another behind-the-scenes track. Once you start taking notice of these ...

Re: Picture-in-Picture Tracks
Add another one to the list... Serenity (2005), the Firefly movie, has two separate Picture-in-Picture tracks (hidden by MakeMKV) in the main title's mpls file. One is a video commentary and the other a behind-the-scenes/making-of track. It would be so much easier if I could rip these straight from ...

Re: Automatically set "Metadata language" to match "Language" property
To follow up on the above, I decided to do a little experiment to see if MKVmerge (or ToolNix or whatever it's called) kept all my "Metadata language" tags (I took great care to set them all before ripping), so after muxing a file I'd just ripped (I had to adjust some of the chapters) I op...

Re: Picture-in-Picture Tracks
I just finished yet another title, Zombieland (2009), where I had to do a full disc backup just to extract the second video (picture-in-picture) track and the associated DTS Express audio. So the question remains, why doesn't MakeMKV show me these additional video tracks so I can rip them straight f...

Feature Request: Dark Skin/Theme
Would it be possible to have the option of a dark skin/theme?
