I have an LG BD530. I just got it a few days ago so it is brand new. I do see where I can turn subtitles off be default but for only movies that are inserted by disc. The player it self freezes and locks up when the movies is playing (via my external hard drive) and I tried to turn the subtitles off...

I agree also with this that the subtitles should not come on automatically.

oh ok...well it will output the movie find but when I play it on my bluray player off the hard drive the sub titles start automatically. I did go and turn then off and then it freezes. Any idea why?
