Re: I'll make you a deal

It looks like it is broken specifically when using Pioneer drives - and maybe only broken when using drives where the LibreDrive status is "Possible, not yet enabled". In that case, MakeMKV is supposed to generate a firmware dump that you can email to support so they can add LibreDrive su...

Re: doom9 offline Sep21-27 - How to report?

There is a backup mirror here. https://doom9.leffster.se/ I recommend reading it only since I don't know how it's set up. EDIT Another backup mirror here. https://forum.doom9.se/ This one is managed by Swede, a Doom9 forum moderator. He's reached out to Doom9 (site owner), so hopefully it will be re...

Re: MakeMKV above v1.17.7 still broken on Linux

So an update, try as I might I cannot get > 1.17.7 going on Linux with a bluray drive; endless scanning... tried every permutation I could think of. Just as an addendum here is the drive information: Drive Information OS device name: /dev/sr0 Current profile: BD-ROM Manufacturer: BUFFALO Product: O...

Re: MakeMKV above v1.17.7 still broken on Linux

I believe the problem might have something to do with MakeMKV attempting to dump drive firmware. One of my drives that doesn't work with 1.18.1 is an older model flashed with firmware from a long time ago. When using MakeMKV 1.17.7 offline, it successfully dumps the firmware to the .MakeMKV settings...

Re: ssif.smap-to-ssif tool

I learned about another tool on the Doom9 forums that fits with my current workflow. Xreveal is a Windows ripper/decrypter that works similar to AnyDVD, but uses the keydb database instead. Because it uses keydb, it doesn't require an internet connection to function. The biggest advantage Xreveal ha...

Re: ssif.smap-to-ssif tool

Hey SamSpeexy, I am running into issues, where the ISO, I generated with imgburn from the DVDFab Virtual Drive aren't playing back. The miniiso drive plays back fine, but if I make a regular ISO from it, it can't get it to work on certain devices. Where you able to play the ISO back on certain boxe...

Re: ssif.smap-to-ssif tool

UPDATE: Hopefully this will help someone out. I think I found a way to rebuild the ssif into a UDF 2.5 compatible iso file. Basically you need to follow the instructions here. https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=782ca1c76ea6056ba0ba443420ca0d0d&p=1652967#post1652967 """ 7) U...
