Yeah, I thought IDE used Master/Slave physical layout but wasn't sure there was something I'd missed. Hopefully, LG will do something for me. Thanks, here is a pic of the model number & the sticker on the drive itself. Let me know if this can be flashed. From what it says about the date, I'm thinking no, but it can't hurt to double-check. It says SATA on it, but what is IDE BIOS mode and how do I know if it has it.

Hi, I decided to upgrade my LG WH16NS40 from firmware 1.02 to 1.05 and now it doesn't read any discs in Windows 10. I saw or read to make sure the drive was made in 2015 or later. This is made in 11.20.2014. How can I downgrade the firmware back down to 1.02? Can I still downgrade it, am I screwed o...
