yeah UHD ready for official playback only with intel igpu and sgx I guess then because I want to burn my own data only, I'll buy a Pioneer as they are good for that. If for some reason my life changes and I need to rip UHDs I'll just buy another drive that isn't Pioneer. I'm sure as hell not going ...

I was looking at this post and I'm pretty sure that it is UHD friendly. Looking at the product page https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Computer/Computer+Drives/BDR-212UBK it says that it is Ultra HD Ready.
