Hi thetoad, I didn't mean to implement the functionality of dvdisaster into makemkv. It is very likely I don't understand how the d/encryption works so maybe the answer is in your last sentence. Ddrescue faces exactly the same problem as dvdisaster - makemkv can not find the key to get it decrypted,...

I'm having the same issue with my copy of ST:Beyond, so there must be a bad press that's gone out to circulation. Thanks! I think tsMuxer is the way to go.
In the meantime I purchased Zidoo Z9X and it plays everything 3D/2D and does it smoothly. The best player I have for well over a decade.
