Re: The trial/key mechanism for MakeMKV is confusing
That's what I'd gathered was happening, my point was more that this isn't apparent from the message shown. My only hint that I needed to upgrade was the 'v1.6.x version now available to download' link in the output area.

The trial/key mechanism for MakeMKV is confusing
On starting the software (that was working previously ) it prompts me that the evaluation period has expired and I should purchase a key and that free features will still be available. Paste in the current beta key which is valid until the end of May, restart, same message. What it really wanted me ...

Re: Segmentation fault on 2 different discs
Giving a smaller value for the min length and the Afro Samurai disc is now streaming but only for about a minute until the program crashes with an error message "Fatal error occurred, program will exit". The other disc reports that it uses an newer version of AACS and the title key is unkn...

The key isn't the issue, I still get the same segfault and 'unable to open disc'.

Re: Mplayer cannot seek MakeMKV bluray streams
It may well be an issue with mplayer but definitely something I think the makemkv developers need to investigate also.

Re: Mplayer cannot seek MakeMKV bluray streams
I couldn't say for sure obviously but what with MakeMKV being beta, I'd guess maybe there is something slightly broken with the stream (that VLC manages to cope with that mplayer doesn't) I use mplayer for everything and would be much more inclined to purchase MakeMKV if it works with mplayer than j...

Mplayer cannot seek MakeMKV bluray streams
Attempting to seek in mplayer results in it reporting "Stream is not seekable" and the program hangs.

Re: Easy Blu-ray movie playback!
Setting the minimum length option on makemkv to something like 1hr 20mins (--minlength=4800) seems reliable for making title 0 the main feature. Also if you wanted to use mplayer (seeking doesn't work though) instead of VLC the command would be mplayer -fs -demuxer lavf -alang en -slang en -forcedsu...

Any ideas why mplayer can't seek? It reports the file is 'not seekable'.
Thanks

mplayer command for BluRay stream with HD audio and VDPAU
1. Does anyone have an example of an mplayer command which will playback a Bluray (either vc-1/h.264/mpeg2) MakeMKV stream using VDPAU with 6ch Dolby TrueHD/DTS-HD decoding (falling back to regular DD, DTS) AND forced (english) subtitles. Bonus points if you can mix the centre channel into the front...
