It looks like it is broken specifically when using Pioneer drives - and maybe only broken when using drives where the LibreDrive status is "Possible, not yet enabled".

In that case, MakeMKV is supposed to generate a firmware dump that you can email to support so they can add LibreDrive support for ...

I seem to have found a drive (sold as BDR-212XJ) which isn't on the SDF supported list, and isn't even on the list of drives for which you do not have a firmware file . I've sent in the firmware dump to the support email.

I've got a BDR-212XJ (Identifies as a BDR-212M) which, despite apparently matching the list in the first post, isn't getting LibreDrive enabled. (it's not a UHD capable drive. But it is beige!)

I'm interested in purchasing a Pioneer BDR-212XJ drive for, well, aesthetic reasons (it's one of the few BDXL drives that's available with a beige-coloured bezel), but while that drive is BDXL capable, it does not support UHD playback.

Assuming Libredrive support for the BDR-212 series drives does ...
