If it is a bad drive then why do some discs work and some don't Because different Blu-rays are actually different data density. Some are bd25 others are bd50 for UHD to goes up to bd100 So maybe it just won't read the higher density discs. Sadly I have seen many more bad drives than I have seen bad...

OK, I had some more discs come in:
The Martian Blu Ray
Star Trek 2: Blu Ray
John Wick
None of them will load. I pulled out another blu ray (Now You see Me) and it loaded.
Sounds like it is an issue with the discs or how they are being read.

I did that and it didn't work. Do the debug messages indicate an issue with the drive or the blu-ray? I was able to rip another blu ray after this one failed so I think it is a problem with the disk.
