Re: Playback Pauses Often
dcoke22, Thank you very much for your reply of three days ago, and informing me of the size of DVD vs. Blu-ray files. Makes sense. My Dell XPS computer, which is my Plex server, is a five-year old high-end Windows 11 computer. I do NOT have an Ethernet connection in the room where the TV sits, but t...

Re: M4V File Not Recognized By Plex Server
Yes, I did re-scan the library after putting in the smaller "Funny Girl" file into the library. After all, had I not re-scanned the library, I wouldn't have even seen that movie listed in my library. Now, having said that, I just deleted the "Funny Girl" movie from my library, re...

M4V File Not Recognized By Plex Server
I had an MKV file ("Funny Girl") that was created by MakeMKV. It was very large (39.1 GB) and the playback in Plex would pause frequently. Very annoying. I was advised to use Handbrake to convert the file to M4V and it would become much smaller (3.96 GB). But thereafter, Plex would not pla...

Playback Pauses Often
I recently used MakeMKV to create an image of the Blu-ray disc, "Funny Girl". When I played it on my Plex server, it paused often during the playback. I have never encountered playback problems with any other movie. A friend suggested that the size of the created file, 37.1 GB, was extreme...

Re: No Sound On The Main Movie Track
Thank you for that suggestion. With the VLC Media Player, I was able to get the full soundtrack by clicking on "Audio" and then clicking on: "Audio Device" and then on "Speakers/Headphones" ]"Stereo Mode" and then on "Stereo" Using Windows Media Play...

Re: No Sound On The Main Movie Track
My computer has simply two speakers. I went into the Windows Control Panel and to the Sound settings. Nowhere do I see where I can choose "Stereo" or "5.1", or whatever.

Re: No Sound On The Main Movie Track
I installed VLC Media Player and used it to play the .MKV movie that MakeMKV created. When the movie started, I was happy to hear the music background. But when it got to parts with people talking, there was no sound of the people talking, just music background. And even stranger, when it got to a p...

Re: No Sound On The Main Movie Track
I just moved the movie track to my Plex.tv server and the sound of the movie plays perfectly on Plex. I don't remember when I used MakeMKV to make the .MKV file one year ago whether I even tried to play the movie with the Windows Media Player. I may have moved the file immediately to my Plex server....

Re: No Sound On The Main Movie Track
First off, please forgive the delay in my reply to the two of you. This is my first posting to this forum and I probably failed to click on "Notify me when a reply is posted", and also didn't notice until now that the list of postings was NOT ordered by the most recent postings. Yes, the ...

No Sound On The Main Movie Track
One year ago, I successfully used MakeMKV with my BlueRay disc for the movie, "The Martian". I needed to remake the movie image. With the 120 sec default limitation on which tracks to use, MakeMKV made eleven of the tracks. Ten of those eleven were just a few minutes long and came out perf...

How Do I Set the Location of the Output File?
I am a new user of MakeMKV. I've been using it for almost a week. It is great! Today, I installed a new drive on my Windows 10 computer. It's my G:\drive. Suddenly, MakeMKV is writing its output files to the new G:\ drive instead of the my C:\ drive. How do I set the desired location for the output ...
