Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Pr. my understanding it will not, but i am not totally updated on the subject, as this solution is good enough for me, given i don't have THAT many DV movies. Thanks for your response. I have just recently ventured into ripping my 4K UHD movies and have a DV enabled TV but older (but working withou...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Of course all my backups are .mkv, as i thought that would be the golden solution... Guess not  So thanks bits and pieces from this forum, i think i've narrowed down the procedure to convert DV .mkv to the format the X700 accepts off USB, and decided i would share it here for reference: Will y...

Re: All 4K Releases Spreadsheet

OP, thanks again for your effort. Can you please tell me the difference between "reference" vs "standout"? I'm just copying the info from https://thedigitalbits.com/tag/4k-ultra-hd-release-list so I'm not sure what their criteria are for determining if something is Reference vs....

The command line and SDFtool flasher didn't work for you because you had "enc"in the command. Your 1.02 firmware is not encrypted!!
Thanks.

Re: NEW OPTION: 'UHD Friendly' Firmware Downgrade / Cross-Flash Using Official (Modified) ASUS Flasher for ASUS & LG Dri

This week I purchased an LG WH16NS40 from Amazon Warehouse (they accidentally send me LG WH14NS40 with a mfg date of Jan-2017). This drive came with 1.02 firmware which was able to decrypt and create BDMV and/or MKV using MakeMKV. However, it would give an error when creating ISO using ImgBurn sayin...

You should not have to MOUNT an ISO, just open it as a file.
I think this works. Thanks a lot.

Constant refresh of source drive

I get this problem only when I mount an ISO and want to create mkv file. Here are my steps. 1. Mount the ISO 2. Start MakeMKV and choose the virtual drive 3. Go to "File", then "Open Disc" or alternately, click on the "Open Blu-ray disc" picture. 4. Once it parses the d...
