The tar file does not contain the complete fw from your drive. It only contains the important fragments, making it possible to create a complete fw file by using another fw file and replacing those important sections. The tar file cannot be used for recovery. It was on 1.05 I was finally able to figure it out. I originally flashed the MK 1.05 firmware, it appeared to work but never did. After going round and round and trying other firmware's and other tools to downgrade, I started from scratch with the MK 1.05 firmware and it worked this time. I'm curre...
