MakeMKV's folder backup option is the 2nd button at the top. Looks like a folder with an arrow. Click it, then check the decrypt box that pops up and choose the location for the backup.

Clean the disc before trying again. It doesn't matter if it is brand new and/or looks pristine, give it a clean!

Hello again. I was wondering if this protection has been "cracked".
I bought the newer Stand By Me UHD which hasn't got this protection, so I'm all set, but I would like to buy The Patriot too.

Since you've had the drive for a few years, it is possible the drive's optics are a little dirty. You could try gently cleaning them with isopropyl alcohol and lint-free cloths.
