Ok I will give that one a try. A bit challenging for my little brain trying to decipher all the posts pertaining to drives and firmware. I was just trying to share my experience with the drive I bought (from B&H).

I discovered the BN12file will not read UHD discs. Use DE_Buffalo_BRUHD-PU3_BU12-MK.bin to enable UHD disc decoding ...

Just bought a Buffalo Mediastation 6X Portable BDXL Blu-Ray Writer with M-Disc Support (TAA Compliant) model BRXL-PUS6U3B-TU.

Flashed w/DE_Buffalo_BRUHD-PU3_BN12-MK.bin for full LibreDrive support. Limited use but so far, so good ...

You have to update the drive firmware (flash). Search the forum and you’ll find where to download the SDFupdater tool. You’ll also need the libredrive firmware. You should find that here as well.

Sorry I don’t recall all the specifics. The good news is you just do it once. I’ve never had a problem ...

I own a MATSHITA BD-MLT UJ272 S 1.00 (Labels as TechPulse 120). Doing some research, but got confusing information. I read it is a Panasonic, or Pioneer device. Otherwise, it's said it is an LG BU40N. Anyways, I would like to get it UHD friendly if possible. Right now it's only BD ...
