Has the firetv cube gen 3 now surpassed the Shield as the best player for DV MKVs as it now supports bitstreaming? It has better DV support, right? (does it use the EL? or also just the RPUs, but better color accuracy?) It doesn't have gigabit ethernet, but the wifi 6E could conceptually compensate...

I will compare more movies this weekend, but I'm 99% sure that using the internal player renders better quality (regarless of FEL and lossless audio). Thanks for the information.
