yeah the disc is fine, i just ripped it using dvd fab, then made the mkv using mkv toolnix.

it is definitely 100% original authentic dvd. it finally ripped, but i get no audio. only video. i will post the debug log in the other forum.

the decrypting/opening disc is taking longer than i have ever seen. and the remaining time just keeps getting longer. take a look at the screen shot please.

I figured out why I was getting that error. My external harddrive was formatted as FAT32 which only allows file transfers of 4gb. Since The mkv file was bigger than that it wouldn't let me and error out.

i tried it again, this time, setting the target to be my desktop and it worked just fine. what i dont get is, there is PLENTY of space on my external hard drive, so why did it fail when that was the target location? after i successfully ripped the dvd to my desktop, i just moved it to my external dr...

thats strange, i had it set up so that it would go straight to my external hard drive, which has plenty of space.

i just loaded in my dvd of the hangover to make an mkv file. why did it create 15 mkv files? did it make an mkv for each video ts file? i thought the point of this is to make a single mkv file?
