Re: MakeMKV and Vortexbox
Yes libavcodec is part of the ffmpeg library. I ran this command ls /usr/lib/libavcodec* and received this output /usr/lib/libavcodec.so.55 /usr/lib/libavcodec.so.55.39.101 I also type ffmpeg and got this ffmpeg version 2.1.5 Copyright (c) 2000-2014 the FFmpeg developers built on Jul 8 2014 20:40:41...

Re: MakeMKV and Vortexbox
VortexBox uses version 2.1.8 of ffmpeg. Is this a good version? What version is recommended?
Also dbmservers is saying this used to work with an older version of MakeMKV. We have not changed the version of ffmpeg in a long time so this should not have caused a problem.

Enable "cellwalk" from command line
I am using MakeMKV from the command line under Linux. It works great but I get this error "ILLEGAL REQUEST:MEDIA REGION CODE IS MISMATCHED TO LOGICAL UNIT REGION' on some discs. I read the fix for this is to disable auto and use cellwalk mode. http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=7&...

Re: Can I force 16:9 rip using VortexBox?
There are a lot of things that it would be great to be able to do from command line. If you could tell MakeMKV to rip just the longest track that would be great. If you could tell it to rip the longest 4:3 or 16:9 that would really allow the command line version to be fully automated.

Re: How to totally automate MakeMKV
Thanks a lot for taking feature requests. It seems like a lot of people really like this one. Any idea when this will be implemented?mike admin wrote:Selecting individual tracks from CLI is on the list for a long time. It should be implemented soon.

Re: How to totally automate MakeMKV
Good to know. MakeMKV is already the best command line DVD ripper by far this feature would really put it over the top. It's important that MakeMKV is smart about the way it selects subs and audio tracks. I can already select the longest track so selecting tracks is not that important to me but dele...

How to totally automate MakeMKV
I would like MakeMKV to be totally automated and rip just main movie from a DVD with no user interaction. Fortunately MakeMKV already does this! I have no problems using the command line version to rip just the movie. I set the minimum track length to 3600 seconds. Any track that is over 1 hour long...
