I thought I should come back to this thread. I re-installed Image Burn, and also installed Virtual CloneDrive to handle mounting the ISO files as you suggested. It worked a treat!

Thanks Marty for jumping in. I tried both your tests this morning - here's what I found. First, I unplugged the drive from my PC for a couple of minutes, and then plugged it back in. I did this by unplugging the plug at the drive end, as getting behind the PC to access the other end is a bit tricky....

Hi, a few months ago I purchased this movie on 4K UHD disk from a local retailer. When I tried to use MakeMKV to rip it, I got a message saying it couldn't be decrypted. Wow! thanks for that link - I didn't even know there were any problems with 1.12.3 (which is what I'm using by the way).

I guess I could try going back to 1.12.2 to see what happens. If I encounter the same issues, I'll go back to 1.12.3 and post the error log.
