Hi,
I thought I should come back to this thread. I re-installed Image Burn, and also installed Virtual CloneDrive to handle mounting the ISO files as you suggested. It worked a treat!
Hi, First off, I apologize if I've created this post in the wrong sub-forum. Please feel free to move it to a more appropriate place if necessary. I would like to change the way I use MakeMKV. I'd first like to do a full-disk backup, then use the full-disk backup to create an ISO file. Once the full...
Just checked back in and....we have a winner! I've managed to successfully rip Dune Part Two with the drive connected to the 2 FRONT USB ports. I'm going to have to think about how to handle this going forward, but it's such a relief that neither the disc, nor the drive, were at fault here. Thanks f...
Thanks Marty for jumping in. I tried both your tests this morning - here's what I found. First, I unplugged the drive from my PC for a couple of minutes, and then plugged it back in. I did this by unplugging the plug at the drive end, as getting behind the PC to access the other end is a bit tricky....
Hi, a few months ago I purchased this movie on 4K UHD disk from a local retailer. When I tried to use MakeMKV to rip it, I got a message saying it couldn't be decrypted. I figured it was a keys issue so I waited. A few weeks later I tried to rip it again, but this time I could hear the drive spin up...
The 4K disc had two versions on it. I was not able to see a difference between the two. Anyone know? I copied the first file-set (*_t00) and found the resulting file was missing the Na'vi forced subtitles. I went back and copied the second file-set (*_t01) and the video in this file-set has the Na'...
Hi, I'm storing all my UHD rips on my server (UnRAID) and stream via Cat6 to a Zappiti 4K HDR player - I know this unit won't do Dolby Vision, but I'll continue with it because PQ is SO much better than Shield. Anyway, after reading many threads here, I thought I should try ripping to BDMV folder fo...
Hi, I purchased the above 'friendly' drive a while back. I did a first test using on of my 4K discs. Drive refused to read. I then followed TeddyRaspin's procedures to 'downgrade' the firmware to a 4K friendly version. It was a bit hairy, but I got there OK. I tried ripping a couple of my 4K discs, ...
I'm trying out MakeMKV at the moment. Processing seems very quick which is great, but when I've searched for info on how it handles HD audio, there really doesn't seem to be much on the subject - well, none that I've found anyway. Currently I have a season of a TV show on Blu-Ray. The episodes all h...
