Hi RESET_1999, what do you mean when you say that TV-LED now works in Chromecast with Google TV but it's fake?
Thanks for your support

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
@RESET_9999 What do you think about Auto Generated Dolby Vision? I mean, usually, behind every grade there's a human eye that checks the grade result often with the supervision of the movie director himself. So my question is: When we do custom grades (auto generated with DaVinci), is the movie dir...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Ok, of course, but i'm intrigued why are you so sure and categorical. It's because new firmwares are worst in certain aspects? In the past I've had issues with stutters caused by not having enough free RAM. The default launcher seems to use more memory, and I still have a custom leaner launcher ins...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
As I said before I think this device is playing FEL titles as MEL (without using EL layer) but... could It be a good time to update your ancient 2018 Firestick and give it a try? ;) I'm not updating it, no. Ok, of course, but i'm intrigued why are you so sure and categorical. It's because new firmw...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Could anybody confirm or deny this statement? My 2018 4K stick hasn't been updated in years but it never could play FEL, blank screen. The 2021 4K Max behaves the same, with latest firmware. Thanks for your answer @quietvoid, this guy says that before, when he tried to play with Firestick FEL title...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hi all, I'll launch a question to @RESET_9999 and every other member of this forum. There's a guy in other forum of my country where I'm in who claims that the FireTV Stick 4K (2018 version) can now playback Dolby Vision FEL titles. As far as I know there's no FireTV that could playback FEL files u...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I would want to launch a question: Which conversion from a lossless 7.1 audio track is better? EAC3 5.1@1536kbps or EAC3 7.1@1024kbps. It could be really noticiable the loss of quality from the reduced bitrate? I prefer to loose the extra channels if the lack of quality is noticiable. PS: I'm aware...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I'd like to also ask an audio related question. I'm pretty sure the answer is no, but hey :D @RESET_9999 is there any way to use your script and the tools provided to convert TrueHD Atmos -> EAC3 Atmos? It seems impossible to change formats and keep the Atmos data with these tools? I've tried the d...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Well, then, if a mkv file uses CMv4.0, a device that only supports CMv2.9 couldn't process all the improvements of the EL layer, only the ones compatible with the CMv2.9. So that, the picture looks worse than it is, loosing all the improvements coded in L3/L8. That's right? And a final question, th...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
the UHD rip files made with MakeMKV in Dolby Vision 7.06 FEL/MEL? This kind of DV files, which kind of CM version use? If this is what you are asking, almost all the movies are done in CMV2.9 and I don't understand why because the CMV4.X L1 generation is VERY different than CMV2.9 L1 generation. CM...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I can't see any change in picture in L2_trim_chroma_weight, L2_ms_weight, nor any L3 and L8 tests. Please, can you explain to me what this means? It suposses any problem to Dolby Vision FEL/MEL processing on this device? This is expected and it means the CCwGTV (or your TV, but unlikely as you said...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Tests made on Chromecast with Google TV over both TV-LED and Player-LED modes. I have played the eight "RPU p8.1/4 L1.L2..._cmv29/cmv40" files. I can't see any change in picture in L2_trim_chroma_weight, L2_ms_weight, nor any L3 and L8 tests. Please, can you explain to me what this means?...
