All 4 of my problem discs now work fine with 1.6.2
Thanks!

Re: Copy complete. 0 titles saved, 1 failed.
If there's a 1.6.2 around the corner I'll happily wait for that
Plenty more discs do whilst I'm waiting anyway!
Thanks for the info

Re: Copy complete. 0 titles saved, 1 failed.
Cleaned discs and no effect. It happens literally half a second after starting the process so I didn't think it was a cleaning problem. You can add to the list the UK release of Gladiator too. Also I noticed that out of the 4 titles, not only are they all Universal, but 3 out of the 4 have the Plays...

Re: Copy complete. 0 titles saved, 1 failed.
To be honest I haven't tried cleaning them yet, but will do when I get a chance. My main plan was to get through the first shelf (about 100 titles) and then tackle the problem ones before moving onto the next shelf. It may well be that they need a clean, but they have all been stored in their cases,...

Re: Copy complete. 0 titles saved, 1 failed.
I'm getting the same 0 titles saved, 1 failed message on a few of my DVDs. I'll try to use an older version of makemkv when I get a chance. So far, I have had about 40 successful rips, and 3 failed. The failed ones are: Backdraft Battlestar Galactica (Original Movie) Bridget Jones' Diary All of thes...

Re: How really fast does it convert?
If your PC is taking 35-40 minutes to make the mkv then I would look at your DVD drive as causing the problem. Either it is an old model, having trouble reading discs, or it could be speed locked for ripping. This is quite common, restricting the speed to 1.5-2x when ripping. I know my Pioneer drive...

Re: DVD menu
As far as I'm aware, mkv's don't support DVD menus. At least not yet...
You should find that the chapter points are there though, so to access scenes, you need to start playing and then skip to the relevant chapter point.

Re: Forced subtitles from DVD
New to the forum, but just wanted to say the forced subtitle problem is something I would really like an answer to too. I recently bought a sumvision cyclone media player, and makeMKV is (almost) the perfect tool for creating MKVs from my DVD collection. However, to make it 100% perfect, it would be...
