Re: 1.17.1: "Fatal error occurred"
I uninstalled the version from the openSUSE repo and installed the flatpak edition instead, and this works.

1.17.1: "Fatal error occurred"
Just upgraded MakeMKV to 1.17.1 on openSUSE Tumbleweed and now it will not work. When running it, the main GUI appears, but is frozen. You can't resize the window or click any controls. After about 10 seconds, an error pops up, saying "Fatal error occurred, program will now exit." There is...

Re: Why are my WH16NS60 drives dying?
I haven't, no, but I'll give that a try next time. Thanks for the tip.

Re: Why are my WH16NS60 drives dying?
The BU40N is a slimline drive though, right? Wouldn't exactly fit well in my desktop PC case.

Why are my WH16NS60 drives dying?
So far, I'm on my third WH16NS60 drive, and this too is dying. They work for ripping ~50 discs, and then they all start dying in the same way. They make a horrible grinding noise trying to read the disc, and then eventually fail to do so, sometimes claiming that there is no disc in the drive even wh...

Re: WH16NS60 with stock 1.03 won't accept new firmware
I solved my own problem. This always seems to happens immediately after posting to the forum.
I had to flash with "rawflash enc", not just "rawflash". Now it's fine.

Re: WH16NS60 with stock 1.03 won't accept new firmware
This is in the wrong forum, sorry. If an admin could move it to "UHD drives" that would be great. If not, I'll delete it and repost it.

WH16NS60 with stock 1.03 won't accept new firmware
After having killed my second optical drive through overuse I just bought a new WH16NS60. It came with stock 1.03. It won't accept new firmware. I've tried flashing it to 1.02, MK1.02, and MK1.03, but although the flash always "succeeds", the firmware in the drive never changes. Is there s...

Re: Spears & Munsil UHD HDR Benchmark
Ah, please ignore this, I'm an idiot. I had "internet access" turned off in MakeMKV so it couldn't download new key things.
I turned it on and now it's fine.
Sorry, my fault.

Spears & Munsil UHD HDR Benchmark
This disc gives the error "The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted". I did Google this error, but the results say that this is what happens if you try to rip an ISO file, or a copy of a disc. But this is an original 4K blu-ray disc. Other discs rip OK. MakeMKV pr...
