Re: Pioneer BDR-XD07TB
So yesterday I received the drive. And, maybe it was a defective or fake drive, or it was the biggest shit I have ever had. All the three discs burnt with it fails from the very beginning when playing them. I tried burning the same contents using my internal LG drive, and it just had the usual chan...

Re: Pioneer BDR-XD07TB
I am glad you are sorted out. It is a disgrace what Amazon sellers are doing. There is even copy Pioneer drives being sold on Amazon. Happy Christmas. Asmcom  How is it possible to guess if the drive you are receiving is a Pioneer or a copy? I have ordered the Pioneer BDR-XS07TS from Amazo...

Looking for Pioneer drives
Hi there! I'm looking for Pioneer driver mostly to burn some BD-R both 50GB and 100GB for my compatible stand-alone UHD player. I recently purchased the internal LG BU40N, but the results are not as expected. I'm having a look to Amazon, and I have seen some external (Pioneer does not manufacture la...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2022
So? If you want your player to read these discs they have to be burned with a sufficient quality. Did you follow that link provided? You need a Pioneer drive for burning if you want to stay on this route. It looks like... I used to have the internal Pioneer BDR-UD03B drive, but it seems Pioneer has...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2022
You gotta stop that. You are burning money. There are only few players that can read 66GB of a 100GB disc and these discs are really expensive. Most stand-alone players don't read them. At maximum 50GB and then you need to compress the video to < 50GB e.g. with the paid version of CloneBD. In my op...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2022
Well, I received the BD-R XL from Japan, and I did the first burning using the LG BU40N previously downgraded to 1.03. To my surprise, it did the burning process softly, on 2x, BUT, it did not mention anything about the layer change when burning. I mean, I'm used to using both 50 and 100GB discs and...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2022
If you still want to burn discs with layer breaks you need a Pioneer drive, good media and burn as slow as possible. Forget about your LG as it is a lousy burner. Does it really make a difference? Are they very expensive comparing to the LG burners? It does. Look here: https://forum.redfox.bz/threa...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2022
Hi! First of all, thank you very much for all the info in this forum. It's beyond expectations. I have a LG BU40N drive, and I have downgraded it to 1.03 using both the software and firmware file found here. I don't want to rip UHD films, as they are easily found on the internet, and it's easier fo...

Re: Pioneer BDR-UD03B doubts
Because I like having them on a shelf, with a self-made cover and a Ultra-HD package. That's my hobby, customizing Blu-ray and Ultra-HD discs. By the way, is it possible burning the folders directly to the disc and playing them on a TV player then? anticipate problems with official disc players. wi...

Re: Pioneer BDR-UD03B doubts
UHD disks use BD-XL physical format, but BD-XL disks aren't necessarily UHD. Pioneer drives are considered by many to be the best drives for WRITING, so that part is covered. But they'll also enforce the UHD encryption and read restrictions, so you would need a different drive to read the source. S...
