I am using this app to play DV MKVs in a Android TV:
https://github.com/moneytoo/Player/releases
It uses latest exoplayer version and it always has periodic updates.
100% of mp4 profile 5 works.
Only some profile 7 doesn't works for me in this app, like Game Of Thrones and Marvel Movies.
