Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
This is incorrect if the display maps the colors and dynamic range as it should. If it doesn’t that’s on the display you’re using, not the player. Colors within any of the color gamuts will be completely identical whether they be Rec709, DCI-P3 or BT2020, up to each of their limits of course. So pu...

@lexyz and @ragico . How does it look on your TVs? Will check next weekend The best players for lossless DV rips are still the oppo and the x700 (or x800m2). Both have LLDV issues Oppo is inaccurate in DV output after HDR10 playback. X700 can't auto switch to DV Sadly, any DV-capable device has iss...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I see you haven't done Infuse with AppleTV. Hopefully that device helps clear up some of the bug!.... Well I see based on this post from Stacey Spears that apparenlty the AppleTV doens't have the bug, or at least shouldn't. Maybe that is why I don't see it? https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.php?p=...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
You think we have to replace our sony x700 by the sony x800 mk2? That is an interesting thought. I wonder if they have an updated Dolby Vision software/hardware CMU in the X800M2? I know I see a visible difference with the new version of AppleTV 4K and I wondered if it may have to do with it using ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I went through all the scenes Vincent compared. The LLDV bug is real!!! (at least for the oppo,x700,shield,dune) looks like a problem with yellow clipping and a darker overall image(less punch)..... I see you haven't done Infuse with AppleTV. Hopefully that device helps clear up some of the bug! I ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
.........Secondly any nit value entry in the dv data block lum section will override the hdr avi lum entry 10k nit in both hdr/avi - dv- data block ............ .............No way 10k nit work in both lum entries that’s for sure...... The DV Data Block does not override the HDR/AVI settings, that'...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Exactly what I use, did that as well in the past. Automix with 10,000 nits? Yes I always applied the dv meta lum values, Bt2020 10k comes out unwatchable bright scenes are over blown. What are watching it on? Their is nothing to watch 10k on besides the monitor it self which does look beautiful @10...

Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Did you see my updated information in my post? Did anyone use custom DV data block info? Also the tone Mapping (compression) as I said could easily have been the cause for these anomalies because when you do player led you have to manually tell the player what the specs are for the display, unlike ...

So I'm now even more convinced that 1, the dynamic metadata are working properly and 2 , the slight color difference with HDR10 is caused by the LLDV bug (because we can't capture tv-led) *** appleTV files color issues is not related to this though 1- one of these sample RPU is synced properly and ...

Fake DV vs Real HDR10: https://screenshotcomparison.com/comparison/12710 Real DV (p5 web) vs Real HDR10: https://screenshotcomparison.com/comparison/12712 As you can see, it just brightens the image. I wouldn't recommend using the x700 HDR10/SDR to DV on the fly conversion. https://i.ibb.co/zJbZHbt...
